246 FRActure Clinic Treatment: a sURvey of patient Experience (FRACTURE)

Abstract Aim BOAST guidelines on fracture clinics suggest a standard of care that all patients with significant injury should expect to receive in Trauma & Orthopaedics outpatient setting the United Kingdom. Method A prospective analysis 358 presenting clinic at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust from September November 2020. Patients completed an anonymous questionnaire based guidelines. Results Most received written management plan (82%), but only some leaflet (36%) and definite information about their procedure (47%). felt (72%) procedures (87%) would be useful. were generally seen early or within 30 minutes appointment time (77%), waited more than (23%). found X-rays easily (91%) rated staff (97%) experience (93%) as very good good. Comments included noting efficient friendly service, suggestions providing waiting times performed. Conclusions Our study showed high patient satisfaction particularly positive feedback staff. Areas improvement include leaflets practical procedures. Following this audit, we will produce common conditions record videos such application casts, splints removal k-wires sutures, which can accessed by prior appointment. The audit could repeated regional national level help centres assess provided.
